Growing up, my parents took us kids to Sizzler on weekends and one of my fondest memories is eating their heavenly cheese toast along with fried shrimp or a salad bar, in Corona, California. Due to my longing to go to a Sizzler, I’ve been wanting to eat that insanely addicting cheese toast ever since. I decided to make a batch of their cheese toast.

I hereby present my mouthwatering Sizzler Cheese Toast Copycat Recipe that will have you and your family coming back for seconds and thirds! My insanely addicting snack recipe contains white bread, butter, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and fresh garlic, and never lasts long in my house!

You can make it with any kind of white bread you like, but we prefer to eat it on thick Texas toast. Wonder Bread is also a great bread to use for this recipe. My swoonworthy recipe calls for white bread, butter, Parmesan cheese, and fresh garlic. Ingredients in Sizzler Cheese Toast Copycat Recipe

Butter. Use unsalted or salted butter. We love my homemade butter recipe!

Parmesan. Freshly grated Parmesan tastes best in this recipe.

White bread. The best type of bread to use for this recipe is either Texas toast or Wonder bread or similar white bread.

Garlic. Fresh garlic heightens the flavor of this cheese toast.

How to make the best Sizzler Cheese Toast Copycat Recipe

STEP 1: Use a hand or stand mixer to whip the room temperature butter until soft and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.

STEP 2: Beat in the cheese and garlic and mix until combined. Beat 1-2 minutes.

STEP 3: Evenly spread the butter/cheese/garlic mixture on one side of each slice of bread.

STEP 4: Heat a frying pan over medium-high. Place the bread with the butter facing down on the pan. Cook for 1 minute or until the butter and cheese is golden and the back is soft. Don’t flip the bread as you are only cooking one side of the bread. Top with garnishes.
