Ingredients in a Santa Party Platter

Cheddar cheese slices. Buy deli sliced cheddar such as Sargento. Cut them into quarters (cut them in half and then in half again).

Provolone slices. Like the cheddar slices, buy deli sliced Provolone cheese such as Sargento.

Cherry tomato. You’ll need a cherry tomato for Santa’s nose.

Pepperoni. Buy two types of pepperoni – sandwich sized pepperoni for Santa’s hat and smaller regular sized pepperoni for his cheeks and smile.

Black olives. You’ll need sliced black olives for the eyes.

How to Make the Best Santa Party Platter

1). Find a round plate or pan. Use a knife to cut six cheddar slices into quarters (cut in half, then in half again). Place the cheddar in the center of the plate, forming four rows. The row on the bottom will have two squares of cheddar. The row above that one will contain 6 quartered cheddar slices.

2). Use a knife to cut the provolone cheese into quarters (cut in half, then in half again). Form two rows of them on top of the cheddar, on the bottom of the plate, as the beard.

3). Use three slices of cut provolone to form the rim of the hat, on the top of the plate. Create two rows of provolone.

4). Create one horizontal layer of sandwich-sized pepperoni on top of the provolone. This will be the hat. Create a second layer of sandwich-sized pepperoni on top as an overlay.

5). Use one slice of provolone to create the eyebrows, mustache, and snowball for his hat.

6). Trace around a regular sized pepperoni to create a perfectly circular snowball for Santa’s hat. Place it on top of the pepperoni on the far left.

7). Place the cut eyebrows on the top center. Place the mustache about 2-3 inches below that.

8). Cut the cherry tomato in half, widthwise. Place it cut side down on the platter as the nose.

9). Place the sliced olives on top of the cheddar, below the eyebrows.

10). Use the third regular-sized pepperoni to cut a smile. Place on top of the cheddar at the bottom.
