You’re not living until you’ve tried a creamy milkshake with fresh peaches! If you’ve had Chick-fil-A’s peach milkshake, then you’re already aware of how insanely delicious a peach milkshake tastes. Well, when you make your own at home, unlike Chick-fil-A’s version, there are no chemicals or additives beyond what is in your store-bought ice cream. All the more reason to make your own homemade no-churn ice cream like my dreamy no- churn Peach Ice Cream recipe! If you’re like me and love peaches, you’ll fall in love with my Peach Ice Cream and Peach Cobbler dessert recipes! If you’re into protein milkshakes, then you’ll love my Chocolate Protein Shake!

Talk about the perfect summer recipe! There’s nothing like a cold, fruity, frozen dessert drink to make me feel better on a sweltering hot day. I love summer as all the fresh fruit is abundant and in season. My delicious peach milkshake only contains 3 ingredients: vanilla ice cream, milk, and peaches. If you like, you can also top your milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry – but you don’t have to if you’re not feeling up to it.

Special Diets

I love how versatile this drink recipe is. It’s naturally gluten free and vegetarian, but if you’re looking for a dairy free or vegan option, use non-dairy vanilla ice cream made from coconut, cashew, oats, and more (i.e., So Delicious, Oatly, Breyer’s Non-Dairy Ice Cream, and Jeni’s); and non-dairy milk such as almond milk, oat milk, or cashew milk.

Pro Tips

Before you start, make sure your peaches are peeled, pitted, and sliced. Also, the riper the peach, the better (even slightly bruised peaches will work great in this recipe). This technique is known as mise en place which is a French culinary term meaning to “put in place” all your ingredients before you start to cook. Mise en place is typically used in professional kitchens to organize and arrange the ingredients at the forefront which expedites the cooking process.

Benefits of Peaches

Peaches are packed with antioxidants and the riper the peach, the more antioxidants it contains. According to Healthline’s article, peaches may promote heart health as they may reduce heart disease risk factors including high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Also, studies have shown that peaches contain compounds that may improve your skin’s ability to retain moisture; thereby, improving your skin’s texture. Peach flower extracts were found to delay the onset of skin tumors in mice. Peach skin and flesh contain antioxidants that possess anti-cancer properties.

Can I keep leftovers?

I don’t recommend saving any leftovers as the milkshake texture will turn to liquid quickly, which is not tasty. The milkshakes should be consumed immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Ingredients in a Peach Milkshake

Vanilla ice cream. Any type of vanilla ice cream will work (e.g., vanilla bean, French vanilla, and so on). For vegan, use non-dairy vanilla ice cream.

Milk. For the creamiest milkshake texture, use full-fat whole milk. For vegan or dairy free, use non-dairy milk.

Peaches. Find very ripe, even what seems like overly ripe, fresh peaches to include in this milkshake recipe.

Whipped cream. Whipped cream is optional but really adds a lot of flavor and makes it a real peach milkshake!

Cherries. Maraschino cherries are the perfect toppings to your peach milkshakes.

How to make the best Peach Milkshake

STEP 1: Pour the ice cream, milk, and peaches into a blender and blend until thoroughly mixed. Be careful not to overly mix as it will become runny. Tip: as soon as it’s mixed, turn off the blender.

STEP 2: Evenly pour the milkshake mixture into 2 separate milkshake glasses. These are the milkshake glasses we use.

STEP 3: Add the whipped cream and a cherry and serve immediately.

STEP 4: If you make this dessert recipe, don’t forget to leave a rating and comment!
