What are Jarcuteries?

Jarcuteries are essentially a charcuterie board rolled up into individually sized cups. They’re cute, fun, and perfect for entertaining large groups of guests! They’re totally trending and are all over Pinterest!

You can make numerous different versions of these low carb jarcuteries and you can serve them in Mason jars, plastic containers like we used, or shorter, clear plastic cups you can buy at the grocery store. We use one kabob stick per cup. The sticks look vibrant and colorful, as stand out as they stick out the most.

Ingredients in Low Carb Jarcuteries

Salami. We like to use large salami slices like these although any size will work. The large size makes folding the salami much easier.

Pepperoni. Sandwich size pepperoni are larger and are easier to fold and stuff into the jarcuterie although any size will work in this recipe.

Green grapes. Green seedless grapes add nutrition, a vibrant color, and are the best finger food.

Red grapes. Red seedless grapes mix well with the green grapes and other ingredients.

Strawberries. I love when strawberries are in season and are plentiful but you can make these any time of year.

Colby Jack cheese. Colby Jack cheese goes great with the salami, pepperoni, and fruit.

Mozzarella. You can use fresh or regular mozzarella cheese in this recipe.

Green olives. Green olives add flavor, nutrition, and are an easy handheld snack. Here are our favorite green olives.

Grape tomatoes. Grape or cherry tomatoes add flavor, color, and are easy to grab and eat.

How to make the best Jarcuteries

To make these Low Carb Jarcuteries, you’ll need Mason jars and wooden skewers.

STEP 1: Place 2 folded slices of salami on the bottom of the jar or cup. (Note: when I say “folded,” I mean folded in half).

STEP 2: To assemble the 5 wooden sticks, first slide an olive all the way up the stick. Then, place a cubed piece of Colby Jack cheese, followed by a folded slice of salami, a grape tomato, slices of folded pepperoni, and a grape tomato. Add 1 stick to each jar.

STEP 3: Carefully add 5 green and 5 red seedless grapes to each jar. Add 2 slices of folded pepperoni, 1 Colby Jack cheese cube, and 1 cube of mozzarella to each jar. Add 1 grape tomato and 1 green olive to each jar. Top each jar with a sliced strawberry and serve cold.

STEP 4: If you make this recipe, don’t forget to leave a rating and comment!

Variations

You can make several different mixtures of food in a jarcuterie cup. We wanted a gluten free low carb version so we opted for cheeses, sliced meat, grapes, cherry tomatoes, and strawberries in our healthy, reduced carb or keto version.

Leftovers

To store leftovers, place a sandwich bag over the top and it nearly seals itself. You can also place a rubber band around the sandwich bag. These taste best if consumed on the same day, but can be stored in the refrigerator, if covered, for up to 24 hours.

Other ways to mix it up include adding any of the following:

The jarcuterie combinations are endless. You can truly get as creative as you like with the different mixes of ingredients.
