Cheesy and creamy vegetarian Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls are my husband’s and my go-to dinner recipe these days as we just can’t get enough of this mouthwatering Crescent Roll recipe! Not only is this the perfect recipe to add to your weekly dinner rotation, but it’s packed with cream cheese, freshly grated pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, salt, pepper, Crescent Roll dough, butter, and garlic powder. If you’re not after a lot of spice, substitute mild green chilis for the jalapeños. It’s the ultimate comfort food with some spice!

The fact that it’s done in less than 40 minutes gives it a winning score in my book of EASY WEEKNIGHT DINNER RECIPES! I work full time and try to cook at home at least three nights a week and always strive to find well-balanced healthy-ish dinner recipes to cook for my family. If you like zesty dishes with a kick such as this, then you’ll drool over my Jalapeño Popper Dip and spicy Alabama Firecrackers! If you want to elevate your rolls, sprinkle with cooked and crumbled bacon!

Ingredients in Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls

Cream cheese. For optimal taste, use full fat cream cheese.

Pepper jack cheese. Freshly grate the pepper jack cheese for the best flavor.

Jalapeños. Use canned jalapeños or if you’re looking for a milder taste, use green chilis.

Salt. Opt for freshly cracked black pepper for the best taste.

Pepper. Opt for freshly cracked black pepper for the best taste.

Crescent Roll dough. Crescent Dough is sold in the refrigerated section of most grocery stores in the States.

Butter. Unsalted or salted butter will work.

Garlic powder. Adds fragrance and flavor. Alternatively, you can use 2-3 cloves of minced garlic.

How to Make the Best Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls

STEP 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F/190 degrees C. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

STEP 2: In a large bowl, stir the softened cream cheese, pepper jack, jalapeños, salt, and pepper.

STEP 3: Roll out the tubes of Crescent dough on a large baking sheet or other working surface. Pinch 2 pieces of dough together to create 8 squares, as shown in the post.

STEP 4: Use a rubber spatula to evenly spread the jalapeño cheese mixture over the squares of dough.

STEP 5: Gently yet firmly roll up each square piece of dough. Use a serrated knife to cut the piece in half and place it on the prepared baking dish, seam-side down. Repeat until finished. You’ll have 16 rolls. I started off with a baking sheet then later transferred them to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish that I sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Either type of pan will work. I like 9 x 13-inch dishes so that I can easily put a lid on the dish and refrigerate it.

STEP 6: Heat the butter in a microwave-safe container for 1 minute. Stir in the garlic powder.

STEP 7: Brush the butter and garlic mixture over the rolls. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden.
