Ingredients in Italian Hoagie Dip
Pepperoni. Pepperoni, combined with the other ingredients, give this hoagie dip its Italian name.
Salami. Use any type of salami you wish in this recipe.
Deli ham. Tear small pieces of deli ham to mix with the other ingredients.
Red onion. Dice a red onion for a terrific flavor and crunch.
Italian seasoning. Italian seasoning helps season the dip as well as add an Italian taste.
Salt. Just a little salt is needed to season the dip.
Pepper. Freshly grated black pepper gives this dish some spice and flavor.
Mayonnaise. For the best taste, use full-fat mayo.
Iceberg lettuce. Iceberg lettuce is the best type of lettuce to serve in this dip.
How to Make the Best Italian Hoagie Dip
STEP 1: In a large bowl, stir the pepperoni, salami, ham, and provolone cheese.
STEP 2: Add the onion, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper and mix until combined.
STEP 3: Right before serving, stir in the lettuce. Serve on baguette slices or on crackers.
STEP 4: If you make this recipe, don’t forget to leave a rating and comment!
How to dice your meat
Dice the pepperoni, salami, and ham as much as you like. I like them small enough to be able to fit onto a baguette slice or on a cracker.
Can I eat this on a sandwich?
If you’re anything like my husband, you’ll be piling this on a baguette or bread, to be eaten as a sandwich. It won’t stay on the bread as well as it would have had you not diced everything up, but you can surely try!
