Pizza is a wonderful family and kid friendly recipe too! Our toddler constantly asks for it and I figured this would be a mouthwatering homemade version of pizza. Let’s just say it did not disappoint and my husband has been asking me to make this a few times since the first time I made it!

It can easily be made vegetarian if you leave off any meat toppings. Feel free to add pepperoni, ham, or sausage on top as well as chopped mushrooms, onions, or bell pepper. For vegan pizza, use non-dairy cheese.

How to Make the Best French Bread Pizza

1). Preheat oven to 375 degrees F/ 190 degrees C. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.

2). Cut the bread in half, widthwise. Cut it in half, lengthwise. You’ll have four pieces of bread.

3). Place the slices of bread on the prepared baking sheet and top each slice with 2 tablespoons tomato sauce. Add ¼ cup mozzarella on top of each slice. Optional: add a few sprinkles of Italian seasoning, sea salt, and any other toppings.

4). Bake for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and edges are golden. Serve immediately.

Where to buy French Bread

Most grocery stores bake their own French bread every day and sell it in the bakery section. I’ve also seen it in the bakeries of big box retailers such as Walmart and Target. If you choose to, you can make your own French bread.
