Make all your dreams come true with this swoonworthy edible chocolate chip cookie dough recipe that is absolutely irresistible (not to mention—eggless)! Growing up, I used to love when my mom would let me store the chocolate chip cookie dough in the fridge until later. Not knowing then that consuming raw eggs was a bad thing, I happily got a spoon and went to town on refrigerated cookie dough! That was THE BEST TASTING thing in the whole world to me! Today, my four-year-old is begging for brown sugar and chocolate chips as I try to make this easy no bake dessert—haha!
My family loves eating these on our weekend movie nights. They’re finger foods that are easy to share and are popular among both kids and adults. You can turn this dough into balls, squares, or dice it in any way you like! Can I use White Chocolate Chips or Nuts?
Yes, you can use any type of chocolate chip you like. You can use white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, and so on interchangeably. Feel free to toss in your favorite nuts such as chopped almonds or walnuts, for a delicious nutty flavor.
Is it Safe to Eat Raw Flour?
It depends on who you ask. According to this Allrecipes’ article, eating flour that isn’t cooked or baked is not recommended as it could be contaminated with bacteria that can contaminate the grain before harvest or during the processing of the flour. It’s completely up to you if you want to risk eating the cookie dough. The risk of eating contaminated flour is not high and we were completely fine eating these cookie dough balls.
