Ingredients in Chocolate Witch Hats

Fudge-striped shortbread cookies. Keebler™ makes these fudge-striped shortbread cookies, and at times, you can find store-brand generic forms of them, like the ones I found, pictured in this post. You can use any cookie that is round and covered with chocolate on one side, but these are the best that I have found.

Hershey’s Kisses. Hershey’s Kisses are the perfect way to turn these into “witch hat” cookies! The tip of the Kiss is perfect as a witch hat!

Orange icing. Use a #5 decorating tip and decorate by squeezing orange icing around the Kiss to keep it from moving. Just a small amount is all you need.

Halloween sprinkles. Although optional, Halloween sprinkles sure make this recipe fun especially for kids as most children adore sprinkles!

How to make the best Chocolate Witch Hats

STEP 1: Turn the fudge-striped cookie upside down so that the stripes face the bottom.

STEP 2: Unwrap the Hershey’s Kisses and place each one in the center of each cookie.

STEP 3: Add the orange frosting around the Kiss to prevent it from moving. I used this #5 decorating tip although you can use other decorating tips of your choice. If you’re using sprinkles, immediately add them on top of the frosting before the frosting hardens. Alternatively, you can use any color frosting you like. Other Halloween colors include purple and green.

STEP 4: If you make this recipe, don’t forget to leave a rating and comment!
