This was such a fun and inexpensive spring Easter egg wreath to create! I had a lot of fun making it as I’ve seen so many that look similar costing much more than what I spent. My easy step-by-step tutorial walks you through each step of creating your own DIY Spring Easter Egg Wreath.

I bought four packs of 12 speckled Easter eggs at Dollar Tree and picked up the wreath on clearance at Michaels for less than two dollars! It pays to use the Michaels’ coupons that are on their website while checking out!

Straw wreath. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a straw wreath at your local Dollar Tree. I found one at Michaels for under two bucks. Amazon sells these straw wreaths for less than $9!

Plastic Easter eggs. Walmart, Target, and Dollar Tree always have a bunch of affordable Easter eggs.

Hot glue gun. You’ll need a hot glue gun and lots of glue to make this DIY Spring Easter Egg Wreath.

Ribbon. A piece of ribbon or a pipe cleaner are needed to hang the tie.

How to Make the Best DIY Spring Easter Egg Wreath

STEP 1: Identify the top of the wreath by tying a piece of ribbon or a pipe cleaner on that section, into a knot. Make sure that the loop is large enough to hang from your wreath hanger. Turn the ribbon or pipe cleaner downward, placing the knot directly behind the wreath to hide it from the front. If you plan to use this as part of an Easter tablescape, then skip this step.

STEP 2: Heat the hot glue gun on the lowest setting and stick one plastic Easter egg on the wreath. Hot glue the next Easter egg to the egg already glued to the wreath. Use the glue to stick each egg to each other. Add some extra glue between the plastic eggs and the wreath.

STEP 3: Continue using the hot glue gun to stick the Easter eggs to each other all along the front and sides of the wreath, alternating plastic egg colors. After you have glued the egg to a nearby egg, hold it in place for 30 seconds to one minute, ensuring that the eggs will stick together. If you skip this step, the eggs will fall off the wreath because they weren’t securely glued.

The glue will be messy but wait until the end to clean it up.

STEP 4: Feel free to switch up your pattern as you work your way around the wreath. Give the wreath some dimension by changing up the pattern and directions the eggs face.

STEP 5: Once the glue has dried for a few minutes, carefully remove all the excess hot glue pieces. Hang up your new beautiful spring wreath for all to adore!

It can be used as a spring tablescape.
