If you’re anything like me, then your childhood was filled with 100 Grand Candy Bars – or was that just me? Growing up, my friends in I, starting in fifth or sixth grade, would walk to the grocery store after school or on weekends to buy candy bars. Well, one way to bring some nostalgia back into your life (at least for me) was making these and realizing how much better the homemade version of 100 Grands taste! Yes, they’re even better than the real thing, if you can believe that! If you like homemade candy bars, then you’ll love my 3-Ingredient Twix Bites, Peanut Butter Balls, Easy Almond Roca, and Oreo Truffles! They’re so easy and trust me when I say they’re SO MUCH MORE DELICIOUS than store-bought Twix.

My mouthwatering 100 Grand Candy Bar recipe contains caramels (we use Werther's soft caramels), milk chocolate chips, coconut oil, and crispy rice cereal such as Rice Krispies.

Pin this now to save for later!

My favorite part about this recipe is that you can make a batch of these delicious sweets in less than 20 minutes! These Homemade 100 Grand Candy Bars only contain four ingredients: caramels, chocolate chips, coconut oil, and crispy rice cereal. I love simple recipes like this! If you’ve never made homemade candy, you’ll be shocked at how easy it is (not to mention the deliciousness level soars high above a 10!).

Ingredients in Homemade 100 Grand Candy Bars

Caramels. You can use any kind of caramels, but we love using these Werther’s soft caramels.

Chocolate chips. This recipe calls for milk chocolate chips, but semi-sweet chocolate chips of any brand can be used.

Coconut oil. Just a teaspoon of coconut oil is needed to thin out the melted chocolate chips.

Crispy rice cereal. One of the candy bar’s main ingredients, crispy rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies) gives the candy the crunch you remember.

How to Make the Best Homemade 100 Grand Candy Bars

STEP 1: Place the caramels on a microwave-safe plate and heat in the microwave for 5 seconds which will allow you to bend them together. Use your hands to squeeze two caramels together, squeezing them until they’re about ¼-inch thick. Set aside.

STEP 2: Add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Stir and if not melted, heat in 10-15 second increments, mixing in between, until fully melted.

STEP 3: When the chocolate is melted, add the crispy rice cereal and mix until well combined.

STEP 4: Use a spoon to dip each caramel piece into the melted chocolate and cereal mixture. Place on a plate to cool. Continue until all caramels are coated in chocolate and cereal. If you have extra chocolate and cereal, gently pour it on top and on the sides of the caramels, making sure to cover the sides and tops.

STEP 5: Let set for about 2 hours. To expedite the setting, place the candy in the freezer for about 30 minutes.

STEP 6: If you make this candy recipe, don't forget to leave a rating and comment!
