Pro Tips

  • You can use coarse white sparkling sugar instead of granulated but they won’t be “true” Jordan Marsh muffins.
  • It’s best to work with butter that was taken out at least one hour before cooking. Room temperature butter is a lot easier to work with than cold butter when preparing muffin batter.
  • You can use frozen blueberries, but make sure not to smash any of them. Rinse the frozen berries in cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel before using them.

In the mid-1990s, the store was bought out and disappeared according to King Arthur Baking’s article.
