What is an Egg Roll?
A classic savory egg roll from a Chinese restaurant is made with pork and shredded cabbage, so this recipe retains the traditional Chinese egg roll recipe as it includes both pork and shredded cabbage, sans the roll.

Benefits of Cabbage
This recipe contains several healthy ingredients and vegetables, one of which is cabbage. Cabbage is rich in nutrients, particularly micronutrients such as vitamin A, iron, and riboflavin. It’s also packed with vitamin B6 and folate, both of which are essential for many important processes in the body, including energy metabolism and the nervous system. According to Healthline’s article, cabbage is also high in fiber and contains powerful antioxidants, including polyphenols and sulfur compounds.
Antioxidants protect the body from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals occur from everyday modern living, but they can be fought by eating a diet rich in antioxidants. Moreover, free radicals are molecules that contain an odd number of electrons, making them unstable. When their levels increase too much, it can cause damage to your cells. Cabbage is rich in vitamin C, a potent antioxidant that may protect against heart disease, cancers, and vision loss. Read Healthline’s article for additional information.
