Hi there and thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Elise and I’m a full-time working professional, mom, and wife, who started this blog back in September 2021 when I was a stay-at-home mom with a two-year-old. Although my blog started as toddler crafts and activities (with a lot of sensory bins!) and a small amount of food, I rejoined the workforce in October 2022 and with a career and family, let my blog go as it was too much work for me.
In May 2023, I picked up where I left off and started my blog over, totally from scratch. It gave me the opportunity to improve from what I had previously created—I was grateful for that but regretful I had let the blog expire as it created so much more work to start over from scratch.
Today, my blog has evolved into mostly food (but still includes kid’s crafts and activities!). I only post food that me and my family will eat. Every recipe is tried and tested and I even wrote a recipe meal planning ebook that’s been available for over a year now. My blog features everything from holiday appetizers to summer desserts, kid’s recipes, and family friendly dinners to kid’s crafts and toddler sensory bins. I grew up baking with my mom and want to pass the same memories on to my daughter. I’m also an arts and crafts lover and enjoy crafting with my toddler! I hope you find inspiration from my blog to make recipes and crafts that everyone in your family will love!
My favorite things in life are Oxford commas, photography, art, traveling the world, baking and cooking, walking my dog, reading, writing, bowling (met my husband in a bowling league!), shooting, and making memories with my family. This blog is my hobby and because I love food photography, creating, and writing, it has become such a wonderful outlet for me. I love the ocean, road trips, and chocolate. And, I don’t drink alcohol so you’ll never find a recipe with booze.
I live in Salt Lake County, Utah, with my husband, four-year-old daughter, and our beloved rescue chihuahua, Kala. I’m a huge advocate for adopting dogs and cats and being their voice. I’ve been an intermittent faster since February 2019 and still fast daily on most days. I’m also on a postpartum weight loss journey, so if you’re following me on social media, Instagram especially, you’ll hear about my weight loss progress.
Originally from southern California, I’m addicted to spicy Mexican food (as you can see!), delicious Asian food, especially Japanese, as well as balanced and healthy Mediterranean recipes—and everything in between! My husband is Hawaiian and I post quite a bit of my Hawaiian mother-in-law’s authentic Hawaiian recipes. I hope you enjoy my recipes as much as my family does.
